It has struck me that we have to navigate between the following constraints:
- setting aside a lot of potentially productive agricultural land for “nature” – i.e., not for human uses such as agriculture, livestock, and forestry
- the equity issues of a world in which we can’t produce enough meat for everyone to consume everything they’d like to
